Heavy Arms or Optimus?
Who would win in a fight? Gundam Heavyarms, or Optimus Prime.
Assume weapons for both are as follows:
Heavyarms:
Arm Cannon, 4500 rounds
Chest mounted machine guns 2500 rounds
Beam Saber
Shoulder mounted Missile Pod 250 rounds
Optimus:
Laser Rifle/shotgun infinite rounds
Arm mounted laser axe
Eye lasers infinite rounds
Assume both are at their best fighting form and are in perfect condition to start off the battle.
To add some details
Heavyarms is piloted by Trowa Barton, and he is piloting Kai.
Optimus is not energon dependent.
Who's piloting Heavyarms? (And which rendition: V1, Kai, or Custom?)
Optimus is subject to energon dependency. Does this factor into the matchup?
Prime's fate hinges on your answer.
EDIT: At first glance, I'd say Heavyarms has Optimus completely outclassed. The Gundams of the After Colony timeline have that incredible armor bonus going for them (virtually no damage from an orbit-to-surface crash-landing, retaining recognizeable shape after being hit by a planet-buster), and Heavyarms in particular has got some, well, heavy plating.
Add to that its middle-to-long-range capabilities, and it's really just a case of getting off that first shot. Its Kai upgrade has a better set of thrusters as well, so it's not confined to an immobile ground platform when engaged.
Optimus isn't without his own advantages, though. While his aerial capabilities may be limited, he (and most Transformers) is deceptively nimble on foot. Depending on the terrain, it could be quite feasible for Optimus to deplete Heavyarms' long-range munitions and force a close-quarters match. He's still at a distinct disadvantage in terms of armor (contrast the effect of Megatron's beam saber on Optimus to the Tallgeese's repeated high-velocity strikes vs. Heavyarms), but his footwork could be played to even greater effect here -- Trowa's pretty limber, but his mobile suit isn't playing his part in the circus anytime soon.
Really, this could go either way. Heavyarms has a strong case for an alpha-strike win, and I'm leaning toward that, but Optimus isn't decisively out of the running.
